Psychoeducational Assessments, or Educational Assessments, are thorough, individualized assessments designed to evaluate a person’s strengths & weaknesses. A Psychoeducational Assessment typically includes evaluation of:
- An individual’s thinking/reasoning abilities
- Information processing (e.g. memory, attention, executive functioning)
- Academic achievement (e.g. reading, writing, math, oral language)
- Social-emotional functioning within the context of that person’s developmental stage and in comparison to other individuals their age
This lets us identify learning concerns and make recommendations to assist in the client’s learning and functioning at school, work and home.
